Death
After the teleport, locate the body and scythe first; both sweeps and scythe combos may pursue you with repeated follow-ups. Wait until the attack chain ends before approaching; do not stay planted for long after the first missed swing.
Entry requirements
Go to Notre-Dame’s Choir and complete the full Death fight there. The catacomb encounter does not replace this fight.

How to clear
Phase one
Phase 1: Teleporting scythe attacks and projectile barrages
Moves and states
Teleports lead into scythe strikes, sweeps, and scythe combos, alongside projectile barrages.
Dodging and handling
After the teleport, first check both the body’s and the scythe’s positions; keep clearing the cutting paths during scythe combos and move through gaps during barrages; do not stand still even at a distance.
Counterattacking and advancing
Attack briefly after the full scythe attack chain ends. During barrages, prioritize keeping a safe route; do not rush into a long combo when the first scythe misses.
Phase two
Phase 2: The scythe throw is followed by another sweep
Moves and states
It teleports after throwing the scythe. Once the pause for retrieving the flying scythe ends, it follows up with another sweep; the flying scythe disappearing does not mean this attack sequence is over.
Dodging and handling
First avoid the flying scythe’s path while locating the body after its teleport. While it retrieves the scythe, stay ready to dodge the sweep; do not drink a potion at close range; this sweep cannot be negated by parrying; even far from the body, beware of its sideways reach.
Counterattacking and advancing
Only approach for brief attacks once the post-retrieval sweep has truly ended and all flying objects have cleared. Stop attacking and reposition as soon as the body teleports again.
