Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter — Combat: From pre-emptive stun to controlling AT: Gameplay guides
Preemption, stun and action sequence management are the common focuses of both combat modes.
Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter — Steps
- In Quick Battle, first observe the actions of the enemy Attack. Perfect Dodge will fill up the power meter and can be connected to Craft Attack; after making the enemy Stun, cut into Command Battle and immediately activate Brave Attack.
- Command Battle First look at the AT sequence and Reward icon on the left. The higher the SPD, the more opportunities for action; powerful Craft (Combat Skills) and magic are generally accompanied by longer delays, while recovery, Guard and some auxiliary actions are shorter.
- Once an enemy's stun gauge reaches 100%, they are blocked for one action and take more damage. Causing dizziness or attacking the dazed target can launch a brave attack; chasing can replenish one bar of courage.
- When you need to replenish CP or join forces to explode, you can launch a chain after a brave attack, which consumes three bars of courage; a bursting attack consumes five bars, and then attack all after removing the debuff. Swift Mode's Valorous Assault consumes two cells.
- AT bonuses can be obtained by defeating, stunning enemies, heroic attacks, and some delay methods. Prioritize preventing the enemy from obtaining rewards that have a greater impact on the situation, instead of choosing the move with the highest damage on the board every round.
- When the CP is at least 100, you can use S-Break to insert into the action, consuming all CP; the power of S combat skills changes with the consumption, and the help page records that the maximum damage multiplier is 1.5. There is real value in preserving the opportunity for an emergency insertion.
