Research steps

1. Press 2 to draw your silver sword. To sheathe your sword, press C Use your silver sword against monsters and magical creatures, reserving your steel sword for use against non-magical beasts, humans and nonhumans. The color of your opponent's Vitality bar indicates what sword you should use against it: silver if the bar is silver, or steel if the bar is red.

   Caution：Keys shown use the default PC QWERTY layout; use your own bindings if you changed them.

2. To mount a fast attack, press Left Mouse Button If you have a key assigned to Modify Attack Type and strong attack, you can also mount a fast attack by holding the Modify Attack Type key and pressing the strong attack key.
3. Hold Right Mouse Button to parry attacks.
4. To dodge, choose the direction in which you wish to dodge using W S A or D and press Alt For the dodge to work, you need to time it correctly. If you dodge too early or too late, you won't evade the blow.
5. To roll out of the way of a blow, choose a direction using W S A or D and press Space

   Success signal：Witchers use a range of weapons and combat techniques to exploit enemy weaknesses. They wield two swords: steel, for humans and nonhumans, and silver for monsters. They can also cast Signs – simple spells that can be used quickly during battle. Witchers are also adept at basic alchemy, brewing potions, blade oils and bombs to gain an advantage against stronger or faster foes.
