After rescuing the merchant, return to the Water Cavern. From entrance ① at the bottom, follow the vertical passage upward into the front hall and speak to the story character at ② to advance Nichol’s quest. This does not finish the pact: you must still report back at the lake. The same lake entrance leads to different scene versions as the main story advances. This map only locates the objective in the cavern’s front hall; it does not combine different lakeside layouts or the raft passages behind it into one route.
