Torn Tapestry: Two Fragments, Conditions and Restoration

Collect the first piece in the balefire tower’s secret room, then follow Small Watchtower’s lower door, turning stairs and locked bedroom for the second. The lock consumes one Lockpick. Restore both pieces in the base showcase; exterior approaches and interactions have not been tested in gameplay.

Research steps

  1. Rescue Gunther and obtain Ancestral Star before returning to talk. The tapestry topic requires the lead not yet started and the server collection not completed. If you already have a piece, check the current collection objective instead of trying to restart the first step.

Success signal:The tapestry lead points first to Balefire Tower “1000 Miles”.

  2. Go to Balefire Tower “1000 Miles” and identify the upper building level with a normal campfire and two small doors, near the secret room. This campfire is not the tower’s balefire objective. If you have already reached this level by the eastern long ladders, look through the upper rooms for small doors and concealed stone doors. The exterior approach and full ladder handoff remain unresolved; do not follow the fragment marker straight down into the web-filled lower level.

Success signal:Identify the small doorway toward the inner room on the upper campfire level.

  3. Enter through the small doorway on the campfire side, turn inward and look for the concealed stone door beside stacked crates. Check for Open at the door. Rooms on the other side, with a decorative hanging tapestry, also contain concealed doors leading toward the fragment room; the wall decoration is not the collectible. Approach these doors and use the interaction prompt.

Success signal:Open the concealed stone door and enter the room containing “Starfall Legend”.

  4. Find “Starfall Legend” inside, then check the raised area beside the old mining tools for the tapestry-piece pickup prompt. The piece is above floor level; the route ends nearby; move closer to check the pickup prompt. Confirm the first fragment’s collection record before continuing to Small Watchtower. Reading the note, opening a door or lighting a fire does not replace collecting the piece.

Success signal:The first fragment’s collection entry is recorded and the second lead can continue.

  5. After the first fragment, head to Small Watchtower with one Lockpick. Look for the ordinary door low on the tower, with distillery pots just inside, rather than the upper bedroom near the map marker. The low wooden-railing platform in front is not yet connected to the doorway by a confirmed continuous route; do not jump straight toward the marker. Once at the lower door, follow the wall-side turning stairs through the middle doorway to the bedroom level. A low-stance check also leaves the exterior gap unresolved; sneaking is not an established alternative entrance. The ground below the gap is substantially lower than the railing and doorway. Dropping into it is not an established walking detour; landing and return ascent remain unconfirmed.

Success signal:Reach the upper bedroom level and distinguish its locked door from the same-level concealed stone door.

  6. The bedroom lock consumes one Lockpick. Move around the furniture to the bedside and face the raised fragment. If Collect is absent, move closer, adjust your view and avoid obstructions; the effective distance remains unconfirmed. Before collecting, organise your inventory and preferably leave one empty slot. This pickup gives one piece and has a configured stack limit of 20 for the same item, but this does not guarantee any existing stack is compatible. Use Collect, then verify inventory quantity and the second collection entry. This pickup branch marks the object for destruction only after a non-error inventory result with an actual quantity reduction; a complete no-write does not consume it through this branch. If the prompt appears but nothing arrives, clear capacity, retry and verify; if it still fails, treat it as incomplete. Not all failures are proven to mean a full inventory. The exact backpack slot, collection/save commit and other disappearance causes remain unconfirmed. Exterior access to the concealed door is also unconfirmed, not a lockpick-free shortcut.

Success signal:Both distinct fragments are recorded as picked up; return to prepare the showcase and restore the tapestry.

  7. Prepare a Wall Tapestry Showcase at your base. The Carpenter recipe uses 4 Conifer Logs and requires shelter. Its unlock conditions also require the Bard to be rescued and a pickup record for either tapestry piece. If absent, check these conditions before collecting more materials. After crafting, place the showcase against a wall within your base building area with building permission. Its setup requires a build zone; arbitrary wilderness placement is not established.

Success signal:Craft and place the Wall Tapestry Showcase at your base.

  8. Approach the placed showcase, open Collection as prompted and use Put into Showcase to insert the two distinct fragments into their matching slots. Its two collection slots specify the first and second pieces; the second backpack slot is not the showcase’s second-fragment slot. Two copies of one piece are not substitutes, and generic storage capacity does not mean more fragments are required. With both specified slots filled, check Torn Tapestry completion and restoration status; the native completion check skips triggering when a required slot is empty. The configured completion query also checks both personal pickup records and the server restoration state. Holding the items or seeing a world pickup disappear does not replace these checks. Recipe rewards are server-wide, each server needs the collection completed, and experience is awarded only once. Final disk-save and reload conditions remain unconfirmed; this guide has not been tested in gameplay.

Success signal:The collection completes and recipe rewards can be checked, rather than merely confirming two inventory items.
