Route notes
The Hollow Halls are dangerous. The journal recommends food, potions, bandages, ammunition and armor. Follow the linked exploration route and keep collected Ectoplasm for later bone keys.
Rescue steps
Step 1
Find And Prepare For The Hollow Halls The Alchemist spoke of the "Hollow Halls" — underground crypts, sealed tombs holding the "Hollow": walking skeletal remains. Find the Hollow Halls in the Springlands, and learn what's kept buried there. The Halls do not forgive the unprepared. Stock food, potions, bandages, ammo... and armor up. Bring a team if you can..
Step 2
Descend Into The Hollow Halls You've found the Springlands Hollow Halls. Descend when you're ready — but know this: the Halls run deep, and the Hollow do not fall quickly. There is no rushing this fight. Some chests in the Hollow Halls require Ectoplasm to be opened — collect enough on your descent! Also make sure to save some Ectoplasm for crafting Bone Keys.
Step 3
Summon Your New Follower You've discovered a new survivor in the Hollow Halls. Place them in your home with a summoning staff to proceed.

If a recipe is missing
Check the recipe’s quest, previously collected ingredient and facility requirements, then gather the quantities needed now. For recipes requiring shelter, check the crafter’s shelter status. An assistant offers access to the same workshop, without bypassing unlock requirements.
After the rescue
Settling and locating the survivor
After rescue, select the survivor with the Summoning Staff and place them at your base. Return to the base where you placed them for later visits; the original vault or body location is not their permanent workshop.
Beds and shelter
Place a sheltered, accessible bed. It is assigned to a nearby survivor without a bed; aim the Summoning Staff at it to reassign it. Then check “Collector Needs Shelter”.
