Find The Alchemist The map marks the location of the Alchemist, hidden in an Ancient Vault. They hold great knowledge and truth over potions and spells.
Step 2
Summon The Alchemist The Alchemist must be summoned in the base to provide his services! Summoning requires a Summoning Staff.

If a recipe is missing
Check the recipe’s quest, previously collected ingredient and facility requirements, then gather the quantities needed now. For recipes requiring shelter, check the crafter’s shelter status. An assistant offers access to the same workshop, without bypassing unlock requirements.
After the rescue
Settling and locating the survivor
After rescue, select the survivor with the Summoning Staff and place them at your base. Return to the base where you placed them for later visits; the original vault or body location is not their permanent workshop.
Beds and shelter
Place a sheltered, accessible bed. It is assigned to a nearby survivor without a bed; aim the Summoning Staff at it to reassign it. Then check “Alchemist Needs Shelter”.
