Rescue steps
Step 1
Investigate The Barrier The Flame senses a barrier, built by the elder Ancients, that inhibits its reach and vision. Whatever is hidden behind the barrier is invisible to the Flame — making it all the more interesting for you. Reach and investigate the dark barrier!
Step 2
Open The Night Door And Explore The Sanctum You've reached a location known as a "Night Sanctum". The barrier you've set out to investigate revealed itself to be a door. However, the star and moon ensemble decorating its facade indicates this to be no ordinary door, and it doesn't seem susceptible to force. Find a way to open the night door and explore the inside of the temple!
Step 3
Summon The Barber You found a sleeping survivor in the bowels of the Night Sanctum! Summon the survivor with a Summoning Staff to continue!

After the rescue
Settling and locating the survivor
After rescue, select the survivor with the Summoning Staff and place them at your base. Return to the base where you placed them for later visits; the original vault or body location is not their permanent workshop.
Beds and shelter
Place a sheltered, accessible bed. It is assigned to a nearby survivor without a bed; aim the Summoning Staff at it to reassign it. Then check “Barber Needs Shelter”.
